How long are allied health travel contracts in Canada?
Most contracts run 6–8 weeks. Rural and northern placements often have strong renewal rates, and some professionals complete multiple back-to-back contracts in the same region. Contract length and renewal options are discussed with your recruiter before placement.
What's included in the compensation package?
Compensation typically includes a base hourly rate, a tax-free per diem allowance, travel to and from your assignment, and accommodation for the duration of your contract. Extended health benefits are active from Day 1 of your contract (minimum 8-week contract). Pay is processed every Friday.
How do I apply for an allied health travel contract?
Submit your application through the Select apply page. A recruiter will reach out to discuss your credentials, experience, availability, and preferences. From there, we match you with available contracts and support you through the placement process.
Is travel work available in rural and remote Canada?
Yes — rural and remote placements represent a significant portion of Select's allied health contract volume. These positions are often in highest demand, frequently renew, and carry some of the most competitive compensation packages.
